UCARWORLD is led by Nobuaki Chatani, who has worked in Japanese used car exports and international sales since 2001.
His career has been built around one challenge: how to make it easier and safer for people around the world to buy from Japan.
After beginning his career at Japanese vehicle exporter Agasta, he joined SoftBank and helped launch tradecarview, now TCV, one of the pioneers of online Japanese used car exports. He later advised exporters including BE FORWARD and Real Motor, worked on international e-commerce at Rakuten, and founded Carpaydiem, which sold Japanese used cars to customers in more than 100 countries.
More than two decades of working with overseas buyers taught him where international car deals go wrong — unclear vehicle information, unreliable sellers, payment risk, poor communication and unnecessary markups.

Your payment is held by UCARWORLD while the transaction progresses toward shipment. If the seller cannot ship the purchased vehicle, your payment is refunded according to our Buyer Protection conditions.
